Vida software nets FDA OK

Vida Diagnostics of Iowa City, IA, has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Pulmonary Workstation 2.0 (PW2) lung image analysis software.

PW2 takes CT lung data and converts it into 3D images and measurements that can be viewed at the point of patient service or within a radiology department.

PW2 features include a number of lung or lobe volume and density measurements. In addition, airway, lung, and lobe measurement tools are combined with airway visualization to aid in patient assessment and procedure planning.
