Mirada launches biomed software

Fusion software firm Mirada Solutions has expanded its image analysis software offerings to include functionality specifically targeted at biomedical research.

New research and development extensions to Mirada's OEM and workstation products enable researchers to import and analyze images from different modalities, equipment from different vendors, and different animal species onto a single platform, according to the Oxford, U.K.-based company, a wholly owned subsidiary of PET development firm CTI Molecular Imaging of Knoxville, TN.

Although optimized for PET and PET/CT, the software is also designed to support other dynamic/functional modalities such as MRI. Quantification tools for dynamic imaging and bio-distribution analysis are also incorporated into the product, Mirada said.

Systems supported include Concorde Microsystems, ImTek, Bruker BioSpin, Philips Medical Systems, and others, the company said.
