(Booth 5865) Digital radiography (DR) developer Imix Americas of Reston, VA, plans to launch a new general radiography system, SomaRad, at this year's RSNA meeting.

Designed for smaller facilities, SomaRad has motorized positioning, remote control functions, and requires only 8-ft ceiling height clearance. SomaRad will be available for delivery after the RSNA conference, according to the compnay.

Imix will also highlight upgraded workstation software for its DR systems, featuring graphical workflow from patient entry through exam planning and image analysis. The software includes integrated generator and detector control, touchscreen operation, image viewer, multimedia positioning guide, and HIS/RIS communication, Imix said.
