Cervical Arch:

Clinical:

The arch is located high within the thoracic cavity (usually in the apex) or even within the soft tissues of the neck. The arch and descending thoracic aorta are usually tortuous and buckled and may have an appearance similar to a pseudocoartation. Most cervical arches are right sided and have atypical origins for the great vessels. The inominant artery often does not form. Patients present with swallowing related complaints secondary to esophageal compression.
