RealTimeImage adds features to iPACS

Web-based PACS technology developer RealTimeImage announced new features of its iPACS service at this week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society conference in Dallas. iPACS, a Web-based image viewing application featuring the San Bruno, CA-based firm's Pixels-on-Demand image streaming technology, now offers CT/MR sequence viewing capability.

Beta testing for iPACS is scheduled to begin this spring, with commercial availability targeted for the fourth quarter. The firm is in the process of filing for Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for iPACS and Pixels-on-Demand, and is marketing the technology to potential OEM clients.
