Therapeutic ultrasound developer Kona Medical has named ultrasound industry veteran Jim Gilmore as senior vice president of research and development.
Gilmore comes to Kona after most recently serving as senior vice president of research and development at Fujifilm SonoSite, where he was a founding member. Gilmore's career spans more than 25 years in the ultrasound industry, including stints at GE Healthcare, ATL Ultrasound, and Diasonics.
In his new role with Kona, Gilmore will lead commercial product development of the company's ultrasound-based Surround Sound renal denervation system.
