The findings were published August 3 in the Ultrasound Journal by a team led by Christian Compagnone, PhD, of the University of Parma in Italy. The researchers found that use of Accuro in this context improved patient satisfaction; offered immediate visualization of anatomical structure, reduced needle placement times; and predicted needle direction and distance from the skin to reach body targets, the company said. The platform provides artificial intelligence-based automatic recognition of spinal anatomy.
