February 13, 2018 -- Medical isotope firm Shine Medical Technologies said it has taken occupancy of the first building in its new medical isotope production campus in Janesville, WI.

Construction firm JP Cullen broke ground in August 2017, and the six-month project was completed three weeks ahead of schedule and on budget, without any incidents reported to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, according to Shine. Beginning this summer, the 11,400-sq-ft facility will house an integrated, full-size Shine production system. Building One will also be used during the construction of Shine's main production facility to train employees and develop operating history with equipment.

In the future, Building One will be a technology development center, Shine said. Once completed, Shine's main production facility will produce molybdenum-99 and other medical isotopes.
