In his first eight weeks as a candidate, Dr. Stephen Ferrara raised $256,243 for his campaign and ended the fundraising quarter with more than $245,000 cash on hand, according to the Radiology Advocacy Alliance political action committee (RADPAC), which is supporting Ferrara's run.
Ferrara is running as a Republican for the 9th Congressional District of Arizona for the seat currently held by Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Phoenix). He is a former chief medical officer of the U.S. Navy and is a Gulf War veteran, according to RADPAC, and works at the Phoenix Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Care System as an interventional radiologist.
