Integrated Modular Systems (IMSI) will present a trio of products: IMSI RIS.PACS, IMSI Ortho.PACS, and IMSI Hawk PACS.

2006 10 30 16 16 01 706The IMSI RIS.PACS, which incorporates the Visage PACS product from Chelmsford, MA-based Mercury Computer Systems, features Web-based access to RIS functions; HL7 standard order entry, results reporting, and database; voice reporting capabilities; electronic medical record (EMR) support, image viewing and manipulation functions including 3D, reconstruction, and volume rendering; remote archiving; and HIPAA-compliant access to images, histories, results, and schedules, according to Havertown, PA-based IMSI.

The firm's orthopedic PACS offering, IMSI Ortho.PACS, provides all the features of the company's RIS/PACS product and also makes available preoperative templating software for most manufacturers. The system provides for the management of all patient data in an orthopedic center as well as the medical evaluation of patient images, IMSI said.

The company's IMSI Hawk PACS, also built on a Visage PACS backbone, features configurable hanging protocols, DICOM Worklist, and DICOM Print capabilities, as well as image viewing and manipulation functions including 3D, reconstruction, and volume rendering. Results reports, letters, faxes, e-mails, and notes can be viewed in Adobe .pdf format, and the application provides automated charging/billing reports for professional services.

Voice recognition dictation and remote archiving capabilities are available as options with the system. In addition, IMSI said its Hawk PACS provides HIPAA-compliant access to images, histories, results, schedules, and charges, and can provide for after-hours, offsite reading of patient images and results reporting.

All three applications are available now in the U.S. and are targeted at hospital radiology departments, independent radiology groups, and regional healthcare information organizations (RHIOs), IMSI said.
