Emdeon of Tampa, FL, will spotlight its Web-based Intergy PACS as part of its radiology informatics exhibit at the RSNA show.
The product supports multipane image views and syncing of multiple images across a study for simultaneous analysis of different views from the same point of interest, the company said. In addition, the application provides the capability to create annotations on an image that are saved into the full study, according to the firm.
Intergy has been bolstered this year by the addition of a new fusion function that allows the superimposition of CT and PET images so that the image location and slice thickness are recalculated. Independent CT and PET windowing capabilities allow users to fine-tune the displayed image, in addition to the application's customizable user and modality display protocols.
A variable slice thickness tool enables a more efficient approach to reviewing large datasets, Emdeon said. Users can define the slice thickness of an image set on the fly and can change it at any time while reading a study. A dynamic MRI capability permits the side-by-side display of images in dynamic MRI series from different runs.
The company is also touting its load by location feature, which can be configured as part of a user-defined layout. For ultrasound studies, the application has a region of interest (ROI) tool that displays both perimeter and area measurements.
Emdeon's PACS offering comes with a set of archive tools such as a store-and-forward capability, which permits the storage configuration of multisite environments. This enables a PACS administrator to set parameters for remote-site storage timeframes, as well as enabling enterprise-wide data and image backup based on day and time.
A business continuity feature allows remote sites to maintain workflow and productivity when communication with the central database has been disrupted. The feature also utilizes a replicated database on remote sites, according to the vendor.
Intergy PACS, which is targeted to the outpatient imaging center and radiology practice environment, is compliant with the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative and is capable of seamless integration with other IHE-compliant systems such as a RIS or practice management system, Emdeon said.
The product is available now and is priced according to configuration, the company said.
