APIII is an annual conference designed for physicians, researchers, residents, and graduate students interested in how informatics and imaging is transforming pathology and oncology. Industry-related developers, engineers, and marketing representatives also comprise a significant portion of the attendees. Prior knowledge of informatics is not required and courses are offered for individuals new to this field. In addition to the traditional focus on pathology informatics and imaging, a theme of this year's conference will be the similarity and possible integration of pathology and radiology informatics.
