Green light for Agfa mammo workstation

Agfa HealthCare has received Food and Drug Administration clearance for its Impax mammography diagnostic workstation, according to the Greenville, SC-based company.

The workstation incorporates high-resolution monitors and features image manipulation, study management, and diagnostic and workflow automation tools, Agfa said. It also has the capacity to simultaneously review multimodality images, such as those produced from ultrasound and MRI. In addition, it has full integration capabilities with PACS, RIS, and HIS reporting applications, the company said.

The firm is also offering the workstation as part of a digital mammography package that includes its DryStar 4500M dry hard-copy printer.
