Sonora expands into MRI market

Equipment service provider Sonora Medical Systems of Longmont, CO, is building on its presence in the diagnostic ultrasound service sector by introducing after-market service and training for MRI service providers, as well as hospital-based biomedical engineers and OEM service departments.

The firm currently provides MRI subsystem depot-level repair, spare board and component-level repair and replacement, technical support and system troubleshooting, and scanner maintenance training services.

Sonora is providing support for the entire radio-frequency (RF) chain of clinical MRI scanners, including small signal synthesizers and receivers, pre-amplifiers, high-power RF amplifiers, and RF coils. The company also repairs and refurbishes gradient power systems.
