GE, R2 extend partnership

R2 Technology of Sunnyvale, CA, and GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI, have agreed to extend their partnership. The contract provides for the distribution of R2’s ImageChecker computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) technology with GE’s Senographe 2000D full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system.

R2 and GE previously had an exclusive relationship, but the companies earlier this year modified their partnership to enable each firm to sign deals with other CAD and mammography vendors.
