MRI accident data: You don't know more than you think you do
The number of accidents in MRI suites may be vastly underestimated by regulatory bodies and facilities, according to some industry experts. As a result, accident prevention is being shrugged off as economically unjustifiable. MRI architectural consultant Tobias Gilk explains why, given the potential for significant revenue loss and repair bills from MRI accidents, increasing the perceived level of risk and facility liability would justify implementing safety improvements.
