RadNet converts to digital mammo in Maryland

Imaging services provider RadNet said it has begun to replace all of its analog mammography systems in Maryland with digital mammography units.

The upgrade plan involves installing more than 30 digital systems in the next six months at an aggregate cost of between $10 million to $12 million, according to the Los Angeles-based firm. RadNet currently performs approximately 225,000 mammograms per year in the Maryland market.
