Olympus and Canon Medical Systems USA have launched the Aplio i800 endoscopic ultrasound system (EUS) in the U.S. for gastroenterology and pulmonary endoscopic use.
The system offers high-resolution visualization and quantitative assessment tools for gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic evaluations and is designed to help clinicians perform evaluations within a single EUS‑guided workflow, according to the companies. Clinically validated imaging tools available on Aplio i800 EUS include shear wave elastography, attenuation imaging, microvascular imaging, and smart 3D, the companies noted.
Manufactured by Canon and distributed by Olympus, Aplio i800 EUS debuted at Digestive Disease Week 2026 in Chicago.
