Clarius Mobile Health is launching T-Mode Anterior Knee, a new feature for its Clarius MSK handheld ultrasound scanners.
T-Mode Anterior Knee is available now with Clarius MSK scanners. The AI-based feature transforms standard grayscale ultrasound images into color-coded visuals to highlight differences between tendons, bone, and other soft tissue in the anterior knee, the company said. It automatically segments, measures, and labels structures such as the patellar tendon with the aim of eliminating manual steps.
The company said that its handheld wireless scanners are designed to facilitate diagnosis and make assessments more efficient and accurate, noting that shoulder and knee issues account for about 25% of all musculoskeletal complaints.
In addition, the system has integrated patient reports and billing codes to facilitate documentation and billing, with access to Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes for U.S. clinicians.
