Radiaction Medical recently received 510(K) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market its Shield System in the U.S.
The company also completed a $10 million round of financing led by InnovaHealth Partners, which will help launch the Shield System in the U.S. and further commercialize in Europe.
The Shield System blocks and captures scattered radiation emitted from x-ray fluoroscopy to protect medical teams.
