Radiation oncology firm Elekta announced that Auckland Radiation Oncology Centre in New Zealand launched its stereotactic radiotherapy program in November, using Elekta's Synergy system upgraded with its Agility technology.
The center's first patient was a 61-year-old man who was given the first of 10 stereotactic radiotherapy treatments, thus avoiding surgery to remove residual tumor from a previous operation, according to Elekta.
