Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems has won a contract with a cancer center in Scotland for its RapidArc radiotherapy system, the company said.
Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre in Glasgow installed RapidArc on two of its linear accelerators and has treated four head and neck cancer patients. Beatson West treats more than 7,000 patients each year on 11 Varian medical linear accelerators, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based firm.
