Swedish oncology firm Elekta of Stockholm has released the latest version of its Monaco treatment planning system for Elekta VMAT (volumetric modulated arc therapy).
Monaco 2.03 provides key features that help clinicians plan for Elekta VMAT delivery and accurately predict the total radiation dose the patient will receive. The resulting plans are of similar quality to intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) but can be delivered in much less time, according to Elekta.
