Swedish radiation therapy firm RaySearch has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its RayStation treatment planning system.
RayStation integrates all of RaySearch's treatment planning technology into one system, according to the Stockholm-based vendor. It includes the company's algorithms for optimizing intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and volumetric-modulated arc therapy (VMAT), as well as dose engines for both photon and proton therapy.
The system also will have support for 4D adaptive radiation therapy, RaySearch said.
