Varian inks Belgian contract

Radiation oncology developer Varian Medical Systems reported that it has sold a collection of radiotherapy equipment and software systems to facilities in Belgium.

An order has been placed for two its Clinac linear accelerators at a new center being built in the Ziekenhuis Oost Limburg at Genk and a third accelerator that will replace an older machine at Hasselt hospital, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based vendor. Varian also said that both sites will implement its Aria information and image management system and Eclipse treatment planning system.
