ScanLabMR adds phase aliasing artifact visualization to MRI simulator

ScanLabMR has upgraded its MRI simulator to include what the company describes as the first scientifically accurate visualization of phase aliasing, also known as wrap artifact, within a simulated clinical environment.

The enhancement dynamically displays varying degrees of phase aliasing based on user parameter choices, including field-of-view selection, oversampling settings, and phase encoding direction. The cause-and-effect relationship between parameter choices and artifact appearance is designed to allow learners to observe imaging consequences in real time, the company said.

The upgrade was developed in collaboration with scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Martinos Center.
