Subtle Medical has been awarded $1.6 million in phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant funding to develop safer MRI exams through its artificial intelligence (AI) software, SubtleGAD.
SubtleGAD uses AI to reduce necessary gadolinium dose during MR exams, and it can process images at 10% of typical doses, the company said. It is part of the company's portfolio of AI tools for radiology, which also includes SubtleMR and SubtlePET.
