MRI Interventions has installed its ClearPoint neurosurgery intervention system at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
The real-time MRI-guided navigation system is designed for minimally invasive neurosurgery procedures and has been used at the hospital for deep brain stimulation surgery to treat pediatric dystonia while a patient is under general anesthesia.
ClearPoint allows surgeons to see brain tissue without using radiation to obtain images during surgery, MRI Interventions said.
