Lantheus Medical Imaging parent company Lantheus Holdings posted lower revenues and net income for its third quarter of 2019.

For the period (end-September 30), Lantheus had revenues of $85.8 million, down 3.5% compared with $88.9 million in the third quarter of 2018. The company had a net income of $4.9 million for the period, down 47.6% from $9.3 million in the same period a year ago.

Lantheus attributed the results to a decrease in sales of its TechneLite technetium-99m generators, which were boosted in 2018 by a one-time $7.5 million contract to Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO), which in 2018 experienced interruptions manufacturing its own technetium-99m generators.

Lantheus expects its 2019 revenue to range between $347 million and $349 million, the company said.
