Imaging center operator Capitol Imaging Services (CIS) has purchased Impression Imaging, adding four outpatient sites in South Florida to its network. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Impression offers PET/CT, MRI, CT, and nuclear medicine services, with a focus on oncologic, neurologic, and cardiac imaging. CIS said the deal is part of its expansion into molecular imaging and theranostics. Impression medical director Michael Fagien, MD, will join CIS as chief medical officer of molecular imaging. He will advise the company on molecular diagnostics, radioligand therapy, and clinical research, according to CIS.

CIS operates 60 centers across the Southeast and currently provides PET/CT in Gainesville, GA, Alexandria and Lafayette, LA, and Texarkana, TX.
