Siemens to collaborate with MGH on theranostics research

Siemens Healthineers Molecular Imaging has inked a research collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) to support the use of theranostics.

The agreement builds on 20 years of partnership between Siemens and MGH. Under its terms, the two entities will establish a therapy command center for advanced imaging systems, including long field-of-view PET/CT. The center will help MGH collect theranostics-related data, provide real-time monitoring capabilities, and aid physicians in determining the most appropriate path forward for each patient. It will support MGH and its affiliated centers in Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.

As part of this initiative, Siemens and MGH researchers will use Biograph Vision Quadra and Biograph Trinion PET/CT scanners to investigate the effects of radiation on molecular and biological processes, according to Siemens.
