Siemens Healthineers is investing $150 million in its U.S. facilities with the goal of expanding production, creating jobs, and better serving customers.
The new investments come on top of the $900 million Siemens Healthineers spends on research and development in the U.S. annually and more than $1 billion invested through facilities expansion, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships in the U.S. since 2019.
These investments include relocating its manufacturing operations for its affiliate company Varian to Palo Alto, CA, opening supply depots in Dayton, NJ, and Manteca, CA, and constructing a 60,000-sq-ft Siemens Healthineers Experience Center in Charlotte, NC.
The new Varian location aims to add 50 new manufacturing jobs, Siemens Healthineers said.
The company's U.S. operations generate about 36% of Siemens Healthineers' global revenue and serve as the global headquarters for the company's businesses in laboratory diagnostics, ultrasound, molecular imaging, and PET imaging.
