Singapore-based Claritas HealthTech has received clearance from India’s Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation to import and market its iPET software.
iPET is AI-based software that denoises, sharpens organ boundaries, and improves resolution in PET and SPECT scans. Scans processed with the algorithm can also provide additional details by using an overlay of an MRI or CT image of the same region, the company said.
More than 500,000 PET scans are performed per year in India, with demand for nuclear medicine growing, Claritas noted.
