Shimadzu Medical Systems USA has renewed its California Office of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) Special Seismic Certification for its RADspeed Pro SR5 Version general radiography system.
This allows the company to sell the system to healthcare facilities in California.
The RADspeed Pro SR5 Version features a vision support imaging assistance function that mounts a camera to the x-ray irradiation field. This allows overlay of the patient's image on a monitor with the x-ray irradiation area and detector position, according to the company.
The system also detects patient movement from a predetermined imaging position and alerts staff with sound and visual notification, the firm said, reducing the need for repeat exposures.
