Carestream Health has installed five Carestream DRX-Evolution Plus digital radiography (DR) systems and 12 Carestream DRX-Revolution mobile x-ray systems for University Health System's 740-bed hospital in San Antonio.
The contract included installations in the main emergency department (ED), trauma center, and new pediatric ED. The hospital also retrofitted two fluoroscopy rooms, several general radiography rooms, and one portable unit with DRX detectors to convert these systems to DR.
The hospital performs 18,000 room-based and mobile imaging exams per month.
