Swedish PACS vendor Sectra is partnering with diagnostic services firm Unilabs to offer preventive bone health testing for individuals at risk for osteoporosis.
Bone density testing will be conducted either in connection with a mammography examination at Unilabs or as a separate examination at one of its radiology clinics. The analysis will be performed using Sectra's OneScreen online service and will be based on an image of the patient's hand, Sectra said.
OneScreen features digital x-ray radiogrammetry technology and is currently used in private clinics in 12 countries, according to the firm.
