Quantum debuts redesigned x-ray generators

Radiography equipment vendor Quantum Medical Imaging has unveiled new versions of its Odyssey and Quest ultrahigh-frequency x-ray generators.

Designed for both digital and conventional radiographic imaging, the Odyssey and Quest generators now feature, among other enhancements, a new operator control panel utilizing a high-resolution LED-backlit LCD display, Quantum said. The menu-driven display, which includes a graphical body model on Odyssey and text on Quest, aims to help technologists concentrate on patient safety and comfort, as well as image quality, according to the company.

The Odyssey HF series of generators provides output power-level options from 80 kW to 32 kW and up to 150 kVp, while the Quest HF series of generators yields output power level options from 50 kW to 20 kW and up to 150 kVp, according to the firm. A Stored Energy (SE) option is available for facilities with limited incoming power or for mobile vehicle applications, Quantum said.
