Canadian digital radiography firm Imaging Dynamics (IDC) has added executive vice president responsibilities to Swapan Kakumanu's current role as chief financial officer (CFO).
Kakumanu, who has been CFO since December 2006, has taken on additional responsibility over the past year for the Calgary, Alberta-based firm's operations and human resources activities, as well as its Asia Pacific and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and South Asia regions.
In other IDC news, the company's board of directors has recently concluded a strategic session to review a restructuring plan that was initiated during the third quarter of 2008. The board is confident in IDC's strategic direction and believes the company is on track to achieve its objectives of profitable growth in the near term, according to the firm.
In addition, the board has asked IDC's management team to evaluate restarting the firm's CCD technology for the digital mammography market segment. The board and management team will also investigate strategic options for expanding its current digital radiography product portfolio.
IDC will also identify and establish an independent advisory board to provide technical and scientific advice to the management team, the company said.
