GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., will show two new products in its Innova IQ family of flat-panel digital angiography systems, and will also highlight its Definium family of digital radiography units.
Innova 3131IQ and Innova 2121IQ are biplane systems that received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in March 2006. The systems can cover the patient's full lateral and frontal anatomy simultaneously, meaning that cardiovascular and neurovascular image-guided interventional procedures can be done with fewer x-ray images and contrast injections, according to the company.
Both systems can be used in cardiovascular, diagnostic, and interventional procedures, including 3D imaging of vessels and soft tissue. The Innova IQ platforms have 20 x 30-cm of coverage.
GE's Definium line includes the Definium 8000 fixed-room DR system and Definium AMX portable system. Look for GE to demonstrate an "auto image paste" feature that provides physicians with single panoramic views of the human anatomy, particularly the spine and legs, without any visible seam lines, according to the company.
