Interventional technology developer Cook reported that its Coda balloon catheter has been released for the endovascular market.
The new catheter is enhanced by a long, tapered tip design that offers over-the-wire tracking capability, enabling physicians to minimize blood-vessel trauma, according to the Bloomington, IN-based firm.
The catheter's bilumen shaft is engineered to provide additional support during endovascular aortic-repair procedures and to facilitate rapid balloon inflation and deflation rates, Cook said. The product, which has 100 cm of usable length and can be expanded to a maximum diameter of 32 mm, is available now.
