SALT LAKE CITY - A review of radiology Internet resources is scheduled for Saturday, as is the first annual SCAR R&D symposium on irreversible compression of medical images.
SCAR University closes with a flurry, with three sessions planned for its final day. In the morning curriculum, graduate level courses will be presented for the quality control, government initiatives, speech recognition, and digital imaging (CR/DR) tracks. Intermediate courses will be given for the emerging technologies, purchasing a PACS, medicolegal issues, and security tracks.
The early afternoon SCAR University session will include graduate-level courses in electronic storage media, teleradiology, and the economics of PACS. Intermediate courses are also slated for the PACS administration, workflow, and connectivity/networking tracks.
SCAR University will then conclude with intermediate courses on quality control, government initiatives, and speech recognition. Graduate-level classes will also be held for the emerging technologies, purchasing a PACS, and medicolegal issues tracks.
Saturday is also the busiest day for scientific papers, with three concurrent afternoon sessions planned. Today's groups will cover: digital technologies; digital practice applications-education; and evaluation of systems and workflow.
Finally, scientific posters and demonstrations will be open for review between 10 and 12.
