HIPAA survival manual available on the Web

Healthcare organizations can now look to the Web for help with the myriad changes required by implementation of the 1996 Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) in the U.S. Healthcare reimbursement and management firm Accounts Receivables Management (ARM) of Park Ridge, IL, and Internet healthcare publisher Enigma Publishing have teamed up to produce the subscription-based survival guide, ARM has announced.

Healthcare providers can avoid the high cost of a consulting engagement by subscribing to the guide, which will contain regularly updated information on HIPAA's most important features, including implementation schedules, transaction standards, Internet security standards, fraud and abuse enforcement, penalties, and checklists, ARM said. The Enigma publishing Web site is http://www.enigma.co.nz.
