U.S. government issues update on WRMSDs in sonography
The practice of diagnostic medical sonography is well-recognized as being associated with a significant risk for work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs). The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) have published a paper on sonography WRMSDs and how they can be prevented. Other ongoing legislative efforts are also addressing this serious occupational health issue.

Study finds link between RT retake rates and image quality

Sometimes it takes a little extra time to get the job done right. That seems to be the message from a new study analyzing the relationship between digital radiography (DR) retake rates and image quality -- researchers found that the radiologic technologists with the highest retake rates also produced the best images.

Both Mercy Ships and the U.S. Navy are looking for a few good imaging specialists to take part in the humanitarian relief efforts.
