Akumin has formed Mobile Healthcare Innovations (MHI), a joint venture with Wisconsin-based manufacturer CGS Premier, to manufacture and deploy Akumin Axis relocatable imaging and oncology clinics.
The venture has opened an 85,400-square-foot production facility in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Akumin Axis is a self-contained, relocatable clinic designed to come pre-installed with MRI, PET, or linear accelerator (LINAC) technology, Akumin said.
Akumin operates a network of more than 800 hospital and physician group partners across the U.S.
