DxTx acquires Bayer's MRI endorectal coil business

Bayer has sold its MRI endorectal coil product line to medical device manufacturer DxTx Medical.

The MRI eCoil enables high-resolution imaging of pelvic anatomy -- including the prostate, colon, rectum, and cervix -- on 1.5- and 3-tesla MRI scanners. Bayer will transfer the eCoil product line to DxTx Medical in several phases. DxTx Medical will begin manufacturing and distributing the product for the U.S. market on August 1 and for the global market on August 31.

The companies said they have sent letters to customers regarding final order dates through Bayer as well as how to start ordering from DxTX Medical.
