Canon Medical Systems USA has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Vantage Galan 3T XGO Edition MRI scanner for neuro and cardiac applications.
The device features Canon's new Saturn X gradient, designed to enhance signal-to-noise ratio for brain diffusion-weighted MRI for higher-resolution neuro images. The scanner also provides sequences for quantitative analysis and cardiac exams with fewer breath-holds.
