Digirad prepares for triple-head rollout

Nuclear medicine vendor Digirad of Poway, CA, said it has completed clinical testing of its mobile Cardius-3M triple-head gamma camera.

The first Cardius-3M camera will go into regular service in the first quarter of 2006, and the company will begin upgrading its fleet of mobile systems over the next three years with the new camera.

Digirad said the camera's triple-head design offers excellent image quality and faster imaging compared to single- and dual-head cameras.
