Imaging center developer Outpatient Imaging Affiliates (OIA) has formed a joint venture, University Imaging Specialists, with Kernan Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Hospital, part of the University of Maryland Medical System and the radiology department of the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.
The joint venture was formed to develop and operate a freestanding diagnostic imaging facility located on the Kernan Hospital campus. The center will provide MR, CT, and other outpatient diagnostic services to Baltimore-area physicians and patients. OIA will provide development, management, and billing services to the joint venture, according to the Nashville, TN-based company.
