Hologic files suit against SenoRx

Women's imaging vendor Hologic of Bedford, MA, and its wholly owned subsidiary, Cytyc, have filed a lawsuit against Aliso Viejo, CA-based SenoRx.

The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, San Jose Division, alleges patent infringement of certain Hologic brachytherapy patent claims. The lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary damages and an injunction against SenoRx for infringement of certain named Hologic patents.

In a written response to the suit, SenoRx plans to "vigorously defend itself," adding that it is "confident in its proprietary intellectual property."
