The delivery of more gamma cameras meant greater revenues for nuclear medicine vendor Digirad in 2006, although the company still posted a loss for the year.
Revenues for the Poway, CA, company increased 6% to $71.9 million, compared with $68.2 million in 2005. The net loss for 2006 was $6.3 million, compared with a net loss of $9.6 million in 2005.
Fourth-quarter (end-December) revenues declined to $17.2 million, compared with $17.4 million in the same quarter of 2005. The company had a net loss of $149,000 for the quarter, compared with a net loss of $2.8 million in the same quarter a year ago.
Digirad delivered 71 cameras in 2006, compared with 55 systems in 2005, according to the firm.
